bans in Marsala on music and alcohol

The Municipality of Marsala tries to bring order to the “nightlife” during the holidays of April 25th and May 1st with a union ordinance regulating the sale, administration and consumption of alcoholic and spirit drinks.

Throughout the municipal territory, from 25 to 30 April and 1 May, it will be forbidden to consume alcoholic beverages and spirits in public places, including those coming from vending machines. The ban concerns both drinks consumed in fixed and traveling form.

The ordinance also regulates the diffusion of music, both live and reproduced, inside and outside public establishments. Music may be played in the time slot between 10am and 1am the following day, respecting public peace and the residents’ right to rest at night.

In areas subject to special environmental protection regulations (for example, Sic Zones), sound diffusion is subject to further limitations and restrictions. The relevant authorities are already carrying out the necessary checks.

Violations of the prohibitions imposed by the union ordinance can lead to the suspension of commercial activity for up to 7 days.
