OCCHIOBELLO (Rovigo) – On the occasion of the anniversary of the Liberation, Thursday 25 April Fiab Occhiobello – Left Po offers an easy ride, of around sixty kilometres, in the places that were protagonists of the Resistance along the Po river, taking a look across the border to Felonica.

These lands were the protagonists of both partisan actions and the focal point of the breakthrough of April 1945 by the Allies. The pedal stroke will also make an iimportant stop in Ficarolo in the company of the Politropia Arcigay association and Anpi Ficarolo to delve deeper into the episode of the Tontola murders to visit the beautiful exhibition dedicated to “The scholastic myth of the March on Rome”.

“Resistere Pedalare Resistere” is the traditional cycle-initiative that has always characterized Fiab’s commitment to keeping the founding memory of our Republic alive.

Program and reference points: 9am meeting in Santa Maria Maddalena in Piazza Maggiore, 9.20am meeting in Occhiobello. At around 11 am stop at the Ficarolo cemetery and subsequent visit to the exhibition “The school myth of the march on Rome”. Afterwards, pedaling to Felonica, picnic lunch break and subsequent visit to the Second World War Museum of the Po River. Around 5.30pm arrival at Occhiobello-Santa Maria Maddalena.

For those leaving from Rovigo, it will be possible to transport bikes by van with meeting at 8.15 am in Piazzale Di Vittorio (multi-storey).
