Digital village widespread in the Marche, the ranking published – The Region informs

For the Borgo Digitale widespread in the Marche, the Region has published the ranking of the Municipalities participating in the FESR Integrated Digital Services call, which is available at the link: https://www.regione.marche.it/RicercaBandi/id_32790/6994.

The Region announces that the preliminary phase for granting contributions for the Integrated Digital Services Call has concluded with the publication of the ranking of the admitted projects. The call, which is the basis of the “Borgo Digitale Diffuso” project, is promoted by the Marche Region to “support the digitalisation of the Marche Municipalities”. The initiative, with an initial allocation of 7 million euros, then extended to 8.5 million, coming from the European Regional Development Funds (ERDF) 2021-2027, saw the participation of as many as 190 local authorities, testifying to the great interest in the digital transformation of the territory.

The “beneficiary municipalities will receive 45 thousand euros to follow up on the project proposals presented over the two-year period 2024-2025. For the regional councilor for economic development, digital growth is one of the main objectives of the regional government’s action, which aims to of the Marche a Widespread Digital Village, that is to say a development model where each territory, with its own excellences and peculiarities, can develop economically and socially”.

“The priority – recalls the Region – will be to spread digital transformation in a synergistic way throughout the entire Marche region, made up of many medium and small-sized urban centres, in such a way that, thanks to digital technologies, these widespread realities have the possibility of integrating and to compete with other localities, metropolitan and national, overcoming physical borders and eliminating distances”.

The admitted projects concern a “wide range of interventions in the ICT field, aimed at the primary objective of the promotion and economic valorisation of the territories and then the construction of intelligent cities and the simplification of relationships with citizens through digital technology. In particular the Municipalities, also thanks to agreements with locally operating actors, they will develop and provide updated digital contents, including itineraries and experiential proposals, in the regional “Digital Hub Marche” system, designed to relaunch, disseminate and promote them in an aggregate way on international, national and regional channels ( including the tourism portal Italia.it and the regional systems existing or under construction as part of the current FESR 21-27 programming: Letsmarche.it, Marche&Wine, the showcase of the widespread digital village)”.

A particular focus was placed on the organization of shared and intermediated processes on a regional scale for the collection and valorisation of local data, to encourage the adoption of public policies based on evidence and transparency.

Furthermore, the Municipalities’ projects will create or strengthen, for example: integrated local sites and apps for the entertainment and promotion of tourism, culture, food and wine, crafts and typical productions; digital services that can be used online or in person; interactive devices and signs; augmented and virtual reality stations; events managed in streaming; packages for visitors and residents with guided use”. “The deployment of the results of the Integrated Digital Services call represents a fundamental step for a digital transformation capable of guaranteeing competitiveness in the Marche region. – continues the Region – With this initiative, the Marche Region confirms its commitment towards a smarter, more inclusive and sustainable future, where each territory, with its peculiarities, will be able to reap the advantages offered by the use of digital”. Il Borgo Digitale Diffuso “represents the paradigm of this new vision of the Marche region. A place to experiment with new technologies, encouraging not only opportunities for growth and development, but also simplification and access to services for citizens”.
