Sassuolo-Inter 1-0, goal by Laurienté

(Adnkronos) – Sassuolo beat Inter 1-0 in the match valid today for the 35th matchday of Serie A. The Emilians prevailed over the Italian champions Nerazzurri thanks to Laurienté’s goal, scored in the 20th minute. The success allows the neroverdi to rise to 29 points and move ahead of Udinese, who have a game in hand, in penultimate place in the standings. Inter, already on holiday, remains at 89 points.

The Emilians exploited the understandable distractions of the team coached by Inzaghi. The home team broke the deadlock in the 20th minute, when Doig stole the ball from Dumfries and placed the ball in the center which Laurienté scored, beating Audero, who started between the posts. Inter, with a largely reshuffled lineup, played around without creating any real opportunities until the end of the first half. Lautaro signaled his presence by scoring the ball to make it 1-1, but VAR canceled the goal for offside. The second half slips away amidst yawns. Inter have no particular desire to attack, Sassuolo simply controls the situation calmly. Consigli gets his gloves dirty to block a couple of crosses on an evening that holds no surprises.
