L’University of Bologna will organize a Forlì the first European Youth Event in Italy. From 17 to 19 May, 4000 young people and 200 free activities to discuss the future of Europe.
The EYE – European Youth Event (“European Youth Event”) it is the largest event aimed at young people organized every two years in Strasbourg by the European Parliament. On the occasion of next European elections of 8 and 9 June, the European Parliament finances the creation of four national editions by EYE. They will be held in Berlin (Germany)Vilnius (Lithuania)in Brežice (Slovenia) and in Forlì.
EYE Forlì activities will begin on May 17th afternoon in Piazza Saffi, with the opening ceremony in memory of the first anniversary of the flood in Emilia-Romagna. A performance of music and dance starting from the rearrangement of some songs by Sulfur Dioxide (wonderful album by singer-songwriter Lucio Dalla)in the presence of the authorities and representatives of the European institutions.
The May 18th and 19th, 4000 young people aged 16 to 30 will be able to participate in over 200 workshops, laboratories, artistic activities, debates, meetings and sports tournaments proposed by 150 youth organizations, the University of Bologna and European institutions.
EYE Forlì will end on May 19th afternoon with a final party on the Forlì Campus of the University of Bologna. A group of young percussionists will liven up the municipal garden of the Campus with a musical show. The musical instruments will be made with recycled materials.
During the three evenings, the city of Forlì will take place meetings with authors, guided tours and concertsorganized by local commercial activities.
