LATINA – A twenty-five year old local man was arrested today by the Carabinieri, after extensive investigations coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Latina, for the crime of aggravated sexual assault on a minor. The investigations started after the victim’s complaint, who told the military what had happened in Piazzale dei Bonificatori where she had gone to shoot video content for the social page. She was joined by the young man who, catching her from behind, first groped her and then put his hand in her trousers. The victim resisted but the man grabbed her arm, pulling her towards him, putting his hand under her shirt in an attempt to grope her again, making vulgar comments towards her.
Only the screams of the victim, which brought other young people closer, made the 25-year-old give up, and he walked away, losing track of him. The Carabinieri’s investigations made it possible to identify the perpetrator of the crime against whom, in consideration of all the elements collected, the Judicial Authority issued a precautionary custody order under house arrest, carried out this morning.
The one in question is a serious and delicate episode of aggravated sexual violence on a minor, a very serious situation that the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Latina were able to deal with thanks to their continuous presence in the area and the trust placed by the victim in the work of the Carabinieri and the Judiciary .
