The Select Committee of the Senate Education Commission effectively unanimously adopted the basic text “to say no to limited numbers in Medicine”.
This was announced by the President of the Commission, Roberto Marti (League):
“It was an intense work that found the maximum convergence of all the political forces ‘hateful limited number that we have known for the last 25 years will no longer exist. A commitment that the League had made during the election campaign. A clear mandate which also represented a stimulus in the decision to take on the role of chairing the commission. We will offer this to our kids the possibility of freely enrolling in medical faculties, Dentistry And Veterinary and to begin a path that will allow them to have time and a way to orient themselves in the university world, which is a great novelty for everyone. Students will also have the opportunity to check theirs vocation and to demonstrate the skills acquired through the study of the basic disciplines of these degree courses. The anger of the Medical Association against the abolition of the medical test
The news was not welcomed by Filippo Anelli, President of the National Federation of Orders of Surgeons and Dentists (Fnomceo).
AtHandle he explained that doctors are “definitely against” because “this is absolutely not a common sense rule.”
According to Anelli, in fact, “eliminating the restricted number in Medicine means that in 10 years, the time it takes to train a doctor, we will have a plethora of graduates who will have no chance of finding a job as doctors. We will only produce unemployed people“.

The reform predicts that this will be possible enroll freely in the first semester without going through tests, but also that the disciplines in the biomedical, healthcare, pharmaceutical and veterinary areas that must be will be identified overcome for admission to second semester.
