Sassi-Superga, lunch is served at the station

From Thursday 25 April, the new “Spazio Sassi Superga” will open at the arrival station of the historic “Dentera”, which includes a restaurant and a bar on the terrace. The two innovations were presented this morning on board the tramway by the transport councilor of the Municipality of Turin, Chiara Foglietta, and by the CEO of GTT, Serena Lancione. The two spaces were renovated by Slurp. The restaurant in Sassi will have one hundred seats while the bar in Superga will have sixty. «The objective is to bring the Sassi-Superga back to the center of Turin to make it one of the city’s tourist assets» said Lancione. The two new spaces in fact have the ambition of becoming points of reference for the citizens of Turin and for tourists. «Combining transport and tourism was one of our objectives» added Foglietta. The Mu_Vi – Miseo project for traveling in motion will start in June, which will make multimedia and multilingual guides available to retrace the history of the tramway. Finally, GTT has also started a collaboration with City Sightseeing Torino to reach Sassi station with the “Sassi Superga Express” line D.
