This is the content of the publication “You can count on it – End-of-term budget 2019-2024” available to all citizens who request it from the URP-Public Relations Office in Piazza Municipio 23 in Ferrara.

As required by law, the mandate budget for these first 5 years was done in a logic of transparency between administrators and citizens. The paper version can be collected, as well as at the Urp in Piazza Municipale, in decentralized offices, in other meeting places and will be distributed in the hamlets through the mobile office.

Introduced by a summary speech by the Mayor of Ferrara, the file contains all the data of the different sectors and areas in which the Municipality has operated. About eighty color photographs document and illustrate some of the main and emblematic events and projects carried out.

The topics are divided into seven chapters. We start from “Energetic City” which takes stock of the major events – with 53 exhibitions, 230 live concerts and 300 theatre, dance and entertainment events – to continue with the major projects for which the foundations have been laid thanks to the 111 million obtained through the National Resilience Recovery Plan -Pnrr. We continue with the chapter dedicated to “Safe City”which analyzes the interventions in the Gad neighbourhood, those of the safe Movida, the work of the local police and the video surveillance system.
The chapter on “City protagonist of change” deals with the criteria for assigning public housing, the Municipality’s accounts, attention to local businesses and the new rules for the market. The one on the “Green City” describes the urban forestation works, the waste cycle, the reuse of water, the revolution of the squares and the valorization of the Walls with one kilometer per year. There “Family-friendly city” summarizes services to citizens, new services for children and youth policies. With the title “Dynamic city” the issues of digitalisation of services, attention to the city’s economic operators, the recovery of historical assets, the renewal of the administrative machinery and investee companies are addressed.
Finally, the “City that looks to the future” illustrates the design of the new general urban plan-PUG, the financing obtained thanks to European projects, the valorisation of the Jewish ghetto of Ferrara as the leader of an international circuit, the new sports hall planned in Foro Boario, the one for the regeneration of the San Luca and the urban regeneration interventions of via Beethoven around the former palace of mirrors, without forgetting the Casa dell’Ortolano under construction under the walls and the Palazzone di Marrara.
