The Rotary Club of Caserta Luigi Vanvitelli, of which Gianluca Parente is president, during a pleasant evening which took place on Monday 22 April at the association’s headquarters, awarded three important honors to as many members who distinguished themselves during the guided year by the current past president Giuseppe Pilato. The Paul Harris are a sign of recognition for the extraordinary commitment and determination demonstrated by members in the club’s activities. It was President Pilate himself who donated the three distinctive pins as a sign of special thanks to his fellow members, thus celebrating their exceptional contribution.

One of the honors, the Paul Harris, was awarded to founding member Adele Vairo. President Pilato specified that this recognition was attributed to the member for her significant contribution to the visibility of the Rotary Club Caserta Luigi Vanvitelli, involving the numerous members in all the professional activities that she conducted, bringing prestige, success and visibility to the club. It is the fifth Paul Harris that Principal Vairo has received, thus consolidating her role as the spearhead of the club and the only reference in District 2101.

Another Paul Harris award was awarded to Vincenzo Caserta, the second for him, for his extraordinary commitment to organizing and supporting the district project “Environmental sustainability and solidarity”. Caserta promoted, guided and still guides this important project with sacrifice and dedication, demonstrating a strong commitment to the values ​​of Rotary.

Finally, member Ignazio Dimino received the Paul Harris Honor for the second time for his vital role as club secretary. Dimino carried out the task of secretary with dedication and patience, supporting and sometimes tolerating Pilate during the entire year of his presidency. The role of secretary is notoriously delicate and demanding, and Dimino tackled it with remarkable professionalism.

The occasion for the presentation of the Paul Harris was provided by the meeting with Salvatore Minieri, author of the new investigative book “Pane e venom”, which took place in the afternoon at the Teatro del Buon Pastore. The event, promoted by the Liceo Manzoni of Caserta with the patronage of the Rotary Club Luigi Vanvitelli, by the Inner Wheel Caserta Luigi Vanvitelli, of which Anna Di Felice is president, and by the Rotaract Luigi Vanvitelli, led by Davide Militerni, continued with a convivial hosted at the Bouganville restaurant of the Hotel dei Cavalieri, during which the awards ceremony took place in the presence of the writer himself, members and some guests.
