It opened this morning, Wednesday 24 April, at the Tivoli Courta new trial against Mirko Campoli47 year old from Villa Adriana, former religion teacher and vice-principal at the “Enrico Fermi” technical institute in Tivoli, national secretary of the Catholic Action for young people, president of the Catholic Action of the Diocese of Tivoli, already sentenced last March 7 to 9 years in prison for sexual assault on two boys aged 13 and 16now aged 20 and 23 respectively (CLICK AND READ TIBURNO’S ARTICLE).
In this case the former leader of Catholic Action is accused of sexual violence on the 20-year-old’s little brotherson of family friends, and towards a 10-year-old child staying in a family home in Bocceaaccording to the indictment abused for over three years from 2018 to March 2020the first in a private setting between Tivoli and Guidonia, the second inside the protected structure where Campoli worked.
According to the reconstruction of the investigators of Anti-violence pool at the Tivoli police station coordinated by the deputy commissioner Davide Sinibaldi and directed by the deputy prosecutor Arianna Armaninithe former teacher allegedly took advantage of the kids while they were in bed and sleeping.
This morning Mirko Campoli appeared in the courtroom and asked the Judge for the preliminary hearing Sabina Lencioni to be judged according to the formula of abbreviated procedure.
