Olbia. Some nights ago the staff of the Police of Sassari, of the Olbia detachment, reported two people for theft of a car and equipment, of considerable value, which was on board. The officers, busy at night in a checkpoint in the Olbia suburbs, they noticed a car skidding noticeably and so they stopped it. The presence of numerous gardening equipment was found inside the vehicle. The checks then revealed that the driver, visibly agitated, was without driving licensesince it was revoked a few months ago.

The man, subjected to an alcohol test, was then found to be driving with a blood alcohol level of well three times the limit allowed. Furthermore, the officers, suspicious of some contradictory statements from the driver, contacted the owner of the vehicle – the owner of a Gallura agricultural company – and discovered that he had not been aware of the theft which had occurred shortly before. The two subjects in the car were reported to the prosecutor’s office of Tempio, by the traffic police coordinated at provincial level by the commander Inti Pirasalso for the crime of theft, in conjunction with each other.
