Francesco Vaccarone was not only an artist, a master as remembered by all, but he was a friend of women. His refinement, intelligence and art accompanied the women of EWMD . Capable of interpreting the values of our network, he created for us the effigy of a precious jewel, in which art is combined with all-female professionalism: many women in one, a figure who seems to walk with pride and charm. “I wanted to express the movement of female forms – declared Francesco Vaccarone when he created the effigy for EWMD – which, like the victorious Samothraces, march more confidently into a vital space that they have laboriously conquered”.
For years and years our award winners have been able to wear, and will continue to do so, a precious jewel. When you asked him “how are you?” He always replied “Some days good, other days better”. He was ironic, intelligent, cultured, sensitive, creative and deeply loved his city. “Francesco, we will miss you so much but our women will always carry you with them, with your jewel close to their hearts”.
