VARESE – The firefighters of the Provincial Command of Varese through the Head of Department Fabio Barbonetti, have joined one of the charitable initiatives proposed by “Migoli’s friends project” ( “Association Pamoya onlus – together to grow” by Malonno-Bs) For the recovery of used bicycles to donate to friends in Tanzania.
The big heart of firefighters
From this initiative, word of mouth was born between fellow firefighters and private citizens, who united in a beautiful synergy led to to the recovery of 30 bicycles from across the provincefunctioning, which with a little maintenance are back in perfect working order and ready to be made available to those who often can only do so by walking to move from one place to another, even kilometers away.
From Varese to Tanzania
They will now be transported via a vehicle made available by Command of the Fire Brigade of Varese heading to the province of Brescia at the headquarters of the Pamoya association where they will be stored in a container and embarked at the port of Genoa on a ship bound for Tanzania, until arriving at their destination in the towns of Ikelu, Migoli and Ilembula, where two hospitals and an orphanage operate which will benefit from it.
