Pesaro, celebrations for April 25th. The PCI: «No to shameful work of revisionism» – News Pesaro – CentroPagina

PESARO – The Municipality of Pesaro celebrates the 79th anniversary of the Liberation of Italy from the Nazi-fascist occupation. The program of 25 April predicts, at 9.15, the mass in memory of those fallen for freedom in the Cathedral. Will follow, at 10 o’clockthe laying of wreaths at the shrine of Piazzale Collenuccio. From there, at 10.15amThe procession of authorities, associations and citizens, will move towards the Monument to the Resistance.

After the wreath-laying to be held at 10.30in Piazzale Falcone e Borsellino, interventions are expected Combat and Arms Associations, of Anpi Pesaro – National Association of Partisans of Italy and the representative of the students. It will be the speech of the mayor of Pesaro Matteo Ricci to close the celebrations.

An Italian Army picket will perform Honorary Service. The ceremonies will be accompanied by the Candelara Band.

Celebrations that generate political controversy, so much so that the PCI Pesaro thunders: «The shameful work of historical revisionism and bipartisan mystification, still ongoing, which claims to exchange the victims for the executioners.
It will also be an opportunity to reiterate a convinced and resolute NO to war, and a clear and without appeal condemnation to Israeli aggression of Gaza and the genocide of the Palestinian people, while Italian and European politics, in zealous compliance with US and NATO directives, send weapons to fuel the proxy war against Russia, instead of seeking peace.”
