During the long long weekend of April 25th, Verona offers a program of exhibitions, visit to the museums of Verona on board the dinghy and conferences. A particularly significant date is Monday 29 April, usually dedicated to the closure of cultural placeswhich will turn into a extraordinary opening day for Juliet’s House. An opportunity to relive the magic of famous balcony and Shakespearean atmospheres which they made Verona famous all over the world.

Sunday Combined visits to civic museums resume on April 28th at the traditional dinghy descent along the river, proposed by Adige Rafting. It will be possible visit the Castelvecchio museum with visits until June 29thThe Archaeological museum at the Roman theater and the Natural History museum. All reachable from some fixed stages of the river route. We start on Sunday with first stop at the Natural History museum.
The excursion corresponds to city stretch of the Adige (8.5 km)with departure from the new center of excellence for river sports in Chievoin front of the cycle path, e arrival at the Boschetto at the riding school in the Galtarossa area. The exhibition: Joan Miró.
The inauguration will be on Thursday 2 May, at 6.30 pm at the Civic Library, of the exhibition Joan Miró on the pages of Derrière le miroirwith colorful and imaginative original lithographs by the Catalan painter, as part of the literary event ‘Books and Roses’ 2024. From Wednesday 24 April to Sunday 5 Mayin anticipation of an increase in tourist presences, access to Courtyard and Juliet’s House will be from the Teatro Nuovo in Piazzetta Navona, while theexit will be on via Cappello.To visit the Juliet’s house and access to the balcony, reservations are required online at the link museoverona.com.
Verona Arena.
Entrance 3 euros to the amphitheater e early closing on May 4th and 5th for setups. Until May 5th, in conjunction with the works of restoration of the monument and installation of the structures necessary for the opera season and of the extra-opera shows, which reduce the visit itineraries, the entrance ticket to the Arena it will have a reduced price of 3 euros. To allow the staging of the first musical event of the extra-lyric calendar – 4 and 5 May, concert against violence against women ‘Una Quale Centomila in the Arena – the Amphitheater closed early for visits at 3pm.

Tuesday 30 April, at 5.30 pm, in the Conference Room at the Gran Guardia, a new free event offered to citizens and tourists to discover the peculiarities and beauty of the Veronese artistic-cultural heritage. In fact, it will be held on seventh date with conferences of the Civic Museums 2023 – 2024. Speaker Nicoletta Martinelli with the intervention on ‘The archaeological treasures of the Natural History Museum‘. Access is permitted until available places are exhausted.

Castelvecchio Museum.
The exhibition “The art of ingenuity. The art of ingenuity. The Clavis collection and other treasures”. Keys, locks, padlocks and chests, for a journey into the ingenuity of the ancient art of safes.
Until June 30th, the enigmatic Flask scattered with flowers, work of an anonymous master between 1625 and 1630, from the municipal art collections of the city of Forlì. AND the glass sculpture “Groviglio”, created by Lilla Tabasso in 2021 precisely inspired by the famous painting by the unknown artist. Together they compete in a unprecedented exhibition combination created by the Civic Museums direction within the format “Guests in the Gallery”.

Natural History Museum.
Visible to the public until 12 May 2024, the temporary exhibition dedicated to ‘Delicate beauties: the spontaneous orchids of Verona’. The exhibition, set up in the atrium of Palazzo Pompei, curated by Giorgia Volpe and Sebastiano Andreatta, is organized by the Civic Museums in collaboration with theGIROS association – Italian Group for the Research of Spontaneous OrchidsMonte Baldo section.
Archaeological Museum at the Roman Theatre.
Until 6 October 2024, the ‘Terracotta Images’. Offerings in sanctuaries, requests for grace from the gods or homage for a grace already received.
