MELICUCCO The carabinieri of the Melicucco station, in the province of Reggio Calabria, supported by the local municipal police and by personnel from the ASP of Reggio Calabria, as part of services designed to combat illegal commercial activity, carried out administrative checks at a butcher’s shop located in Municipality of Melicucco, within which various irregularities were found.
The inspection revealed that the commercial activity was totally illegal as it lacked a Scia for the administration of food and drinks and lacked the necessary health authorization.
For this reason, the commercial activity was closed by municipal ordinance and sanctions totaling 8,000 euros were imposed. A maxi-fine of 5,000.00 euros because he carried out the administration of food without the required SCIA. A second fine of 3,000.00 euros was imposed because the operator administered food without the necessary health registration. In addition to the sanctions issued, the commercial premises were closed.
The Carabinieri checks, aimed more at consumer protection, will continue in the next few days.
