Sambiase’s Under 19 team also beats Cittanova and reaches the regional final

Rosarno – The satisfactions continue at Sambiase, with the Under 19 now one step away from repeating the great result already achieved by the first team. Mister Cuda’s young Giallorossi this afternoon in fact beat their peers Cittanova with an almost tennis-like 5-1 in the play-off semi-final played on the neutral ground of the “Giovanni Paolo II” in Rosarno. Success already archived in the first 45′ thanks to Chiappetta’s brace and Mazza’s goal. In the second half Mazza again, and Vasapollo from the spot, made the score wider. Rechichi scored the goal, which came immediately after the fourth Sambiasino goal, for the Cittanova flag. Lametini who therefore enter the under 19 regional final (the fourth in their history) scheduled for 3.30pm on Thursday 2 May on the synthetic track of the Federal Technical Center of Catanzaro. The Giallorossi’s opponent will be Digiesse Praia Tortora, who in today’s other semi-final, played at the Comunale di Diamante, beat Morrone on penalties (1-1 at the end of extra time).

The match report

The match between the Giallorossi ends after just five turns of the clock from the starting whistle. Chiappetta takes care of breaking the initial tie with a precise right-footed shot from outside the area. 8′ pass and the second goal arrives with Mazza, who does well to reiterate the goal after an initial attempt rejected by Balint. In the 28th minute Sambiase also found the net to make it 3-0: a bad mistake in the setting phase by the opposing goalkeeper, Chiappetta recovered the ball and made no mistake with the goal unguarded.

In the second half the plot of the match does not change and Sambiase spreads. In the 12th minute Morelli’s ball from the right goes to Mazza who beats Balint and gets his personal brace. Cittanova tries to get back into the game with Rechichi’s goal, but Frasson and his teammates finally close it out in the 40th minute thanks to the penalty kick converted by Vasapollo.
