Tourist destinations in Lazio along the Tiber river, with canoe descent
There are different paths to get to Rome along the main consular roads but this year among the proposals of tourist destinations there will also be the International Descent of the Tibera recreational paddle motor and sports event that from different points of Rome’s rivers it will reach its historic center, passing through San Pietro.
April 29th it will go down the Tiber river in Settebagni, on April 30th we will navigate the Aniene river from Montesacro and the 1 May 2024 from Ponte Milvio to the heart of the city.
May 25ththen, you will arrive at the sea with a route from Ostia Antica to the Fumicino dock.
The initiative it aims to bring back the riveronce an important waterway, at the center of tourist-sports activity in Rome both for athletes and for families.
The Descent initiative has the patronage of the Lazio Region, the Sports Department of Rome Capital and the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital.
Canoes, SUPs, dinghies, kayaks they will go down the river briskly and consciously as urban regeneration action for an increasingly functional and inclusive city.
The stages in Rome of the International Descent of the Tiber they are vertical actions of DMO “Around Rome” for the support of landscape-naturalistic destinations in Lazio, through gentle mobility also along waterways.
