Lamezia Terme, Friday 3 May the presentation of the book “The Compagnia del Lupo and the brotherhood of Carpocrate” by Riccardo Cristiano

Friday 3 May 2024 at 6.00 pm in Lamezia Terme (Cz) in the Conference Hall of the Terme Di Caronte, Officine Editoriali da Cleto will present the book “The Company of the Wolf and the Brotherhood of Carpocrates”by the writer of Lamezzo origins Riccardo Cristiano.

The author will dialogue with Rita Gura, cultural operator, Open Space APS Secretary and Valentina Tedesco, President of the Lamezia Muse association, telling details of the book set in Calabria, as well as the places in which the adventures of the “Company of the Wolf” take place many of them inherent, precisely the territory of Lamezia Terme.

The adventures of the Company of the Wolf continue, discovering new places that hide unsolved mysteries, all connected to each other. Is there really a clear separation between what is good and what is bad? Who are the Carpocratians and what have they craved for so many centuries? The Wolf and his friends will find out, repeatedly coming across clues that they would never have taken into consideration. Each of them has a gift, they are not superheroes, but ordinary people who never look the other way. Bound by a deep friendship, they will find themselves repeatedly having to deal with a reality that can be changed for the benefit of any creature who ardently desires it. After all, life is a continuous metamorphosis and the Wolf, like his Company, knows that it is necessary.

Present at the speakers’ table was Luigi Serafino Gallo, a friend of the author and one of the protagonists of the story. Historical popularizer, connoisseur of the sometimes hidden places of the Lameto panorama, he has always fought for his territory, through public initiatives aimed at the dissemination and rediscovery of what would otherwise be forgotten.

Officine Editoriali Da Cleto, in the person of its publisher Marco Marchese, together with the author Riccardo Cristiano, thank the availability of the President of the Terme di Caronte, Doctor Emilio Cataldi and his daughter Maddalena, for the use of the conference room.

Also present are the Mayor of the Municipality of Lamezia Terme, the lawyer Paolo Mascaro and the Councilor Luisa Vaccaro, who will bring the greetings of the administration, with the granting of free patronage to an event of a cultural nature and of public importance, for the purposes of knowledge of the treasures of Lamezia.

During the presentation, musical and artistic interludes will be performed, curated by Chiara Vasta and Andrea Pileggi of the Lamezia Muse association.

Riccardo Cristiano is born in Lamezia Terme in 1978, graduated in Modern Literature, writes for the online newspaper Lameziaterme.it and is President of Liberi.tv

For over twenty years it has promoted initiatives for civil rights, not only for the LGBTQI+ community but also for social inclusion in general.

He currently lives in Cleto, in the Province of Cosenza, and deals with the promotion of cultural events and the enhancement of the Calabrian natural heritage. He is part of the Santi 40 association which aims to reevaluate and promote the historical and naturalistic assets of the city of Lamezia Terme, through dissemination.

He published his first book, I declare you united, in 2019; with the Officine Editoriali da Cleto publishing house. In 2022 he published the archaeo-fantasy novel entitled The Company of the Wolf and the Fortieth Gateset in Calabria and which tells, through the adventures of the characters, hidden places, mysteries never revealed and the importance of friendship. The company of the wolf and the brotherhood of Carpocrates it is the sequel, a still ongoing story in which Fabio, Luigi, Francesco, Giuseppe, Ilaria, Riccardo and other friends who will be added to the herdthey will always choose the common good over individual interests.

Is it worth risking everything, ourselves, for the world around us, even when some want to destroy it by blackmailing us with any means? The answer is always yes, according to the author. Now, more than ever, because history tends to repeat itself and we must not hold back but live it as protagonists, because as a wolf, he retreats only to get a running start.
