The Municipality of Butera, in the province of Caltanissetta, has put up for auction Borgo Guttadauro, a rural village from the fascist era located in the Disueri district. A unique opportunity to acquire an asset full of charm and potential, immersed in the splendid Sicilian setting.
Borgo Guttadauro was built in 1940, as part of the rural settlements commissioned by King Vittorio Emanuele III of Savoy. It was one of the eight villages included in the Consortium’s project Reclamation of the Gela Plain, created to boost agriculture and development in the area. The village is structured around a central square, where there is a church with a bell tower, the school, the Carabinieri barracks, the post office, the medical clinic, the barn, warehouses, artisan workshops and the Casa del Fascio. After a troubled history, the village was definitively abandoned in the mid-1980s.
