Giò Madonnari is back, an event for children in view of the patronal feast – BitontoLive.it

Also this year on the occasion of the celebrations in honor of Mary Immaculate, patron saint of Bitonto, the Patronal Festivals Committee and the Municipality of Bitonto in collaboration with the Atlante stationery shop and the Sacred Heart Institute of Bitonto, renew the appointment with Giò Madonnaria colorful initiative reserved for the little ones.

Registration is open to children in nursery, primary and lower secondary schools. Participants will be divided into four categories: Nursery school; Elementary school 1st cycle (first and second); 2nd cycle elementary school (third, fourth and fifth); Secondary school.

For this edition, the organizers have innovated the format by dividing it into 2 days, 12 and 27 May 2024.

On Sunday 12 May 2024 the appointment is at 9am at the Atlante stationery shop located in viale Giovanni XXIII,91 where all members will be given a set of colored chalks and breakfast. If you deem it necessary, you can bring other chalks and everything you might need to create a true work of art. The event will be enlivened by lots of music, entertainment, street artists and gadgets. At the end of the work, a small circus and juggling show will be held. The event will continue on May 27th with the parade of street artists who will enliven the main streets and squares of the city with their artistic and spectacular performances, involving all participants, in order to develop the sense of sociability and community of the small participants and make them an integral part of the party.

The theme of the competition will be: “a historical event of our city: the battle of Bitonto”
