“The professions of art between the Tiber and the Arno”, exhibition in Anghiari

The extraordinary artistic craftsmanship creations of the area will be present at the Exhibition Market of the Crafts of the Tiber Valley in Tuscany scheduled in Anghiari from 25 April to 1 May 2024 in the exhibition “The Crafts of Art between the Tiber and the Arno”.
This is one of the most important collateral events of the Anghiari Craft Exhibition Market, much awaited and appreciated by visitors, who have the opportunity to admire the creations of many artisans from all over the province of Arezzo, and who well represent the the excellence of the artistic craftsmanship of the territory. The initiative is jointly promoted by CNA and Confartigianato Imprese Arezzo and the participating artisans, around 20, are the expression of both associations.
“The exhibition – explains Marco Conti, Cna Arezzo spokesperson for the artistic crafts category – will host the works created by workshops specialized in the various artistic crafts, from ceramics and terracotta to goldsmithing and bijoux, from weaving to fashion accessories , from the processing of leather and footwear to the processing of stone materials, from wrought iron, to inlaid furniture and furnishing accessories in recycled wood, these are skilled and talented craftsmen who have been able to combine the historic tradition of crafts and technique and the craftsmanship inherited from the past, with the imagination and innovation that characterize our era, thus creating unique artefacts of excellent quality and contemporary taste. In total, over 100 works will be exhibited in the Council Room of Palazzo Pretorio, the Palace municipality of Anghiari”.

On the public holidays of 25 April, 28 April and 1 ° May, in fact, the organization of experiential workshops dedicated to artistic professions is planned in which some of the artisan workshops present in Palazzo Pretorio will offer a demonstration of their production processes. Visitors to the exhibition will thus have the opportunity not only to admire the artisans at work, but also to try their hand at the craftsmanship process, completely immersing oneself in the world of artistic professions such as, for example, that of clay working, stone sculpture and mosaic”.
