Four arrested for the serious disturbances that occurred before the Salernitana-Fiorentina match. This was made known during a press conference at the Prosecutor’s Office by the Prosecutor of the Republic of Salerno, Borrelli, together with the Deputy Prosecutor Alfano and the Police Commissioner of Salerno, Conticchio.

The clashes, which occurred outside the Arechi stadium, left 15 injured, including 12 officers from the Mobile Department of the Naples Police and 3 from the Salerno Police Headquarters. An officer was hospitalized after a paper bomb exploded near him, causing burns and trauma. His condition is not serious and after a few hours he was discharged.

Those arrested, aged between 26 and 47, were in possession of objects capable of offending, throwing paper bombs and other blunt objects, and resisting a public official. Three of the four arrested are over 40 years old.

The investigative activity is still ongoing and further arrests cannot be ruled out. The competent authorities firmly condemn the events that occurred and reiterate their commitment to guaranteeing public safety and prosecuting those responsible with the utmost severity.

The Prosecutor’s Office and the Salerno Police Headquarters invite anyone with information useful for the investigation to contact the police
