Brescia. Palace of the Loggia. On the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation from Nazi occupation and dictatorship fascist Brescia, a city decorated with a silver medal for military valor for the partisan struggle, confirms with renewed determination its loyalty to the values that animated the Resistance and inspired the Republican Constitution.
Remembering the sacrifice of the fallen for Freedom and Democracy, the citizens of Brescia express their rejection of every form of totalitarianism, violence and oppression, wherever it occurs and reiterate their commitment to the affirmation of the ideals of freedom, democracy, peace and social justice.

Vantini Cemetery:
Hours 10.30 deposition of wreaths at the Partisans’ Shrine and Holy Mass.
Loggia Square:
3.45pm concert of the Citizen Band.
4.30pm meeting of the Partisan, Armed and Combatant Associations, of the citizens and of the delegations of the Municipalities with the banners17 laying of wreaths on the tombstones of Palazzo Loggia, to the Fallen in Piazza della Loggia and to the “Fallen of the city of Brescia for freedom (1943-1945)” in Largo Formentone.
5.30pm greetings from the Mayor of Brescia Laura Castelletti and the Partisan Associations.
5.45pm official speeches by two students, Marta Cremaschi and Christian Zoppini.
