On Thursday 25 April the Municipality of Sanremo joins the celebrations for the “Liberation Day”
The program of celebrations for Liberation Day:
– 9.15 am, Piazza Borea d’Olmo: gathering of participants. Formation of the parade. Participation of the “Città di Sanremo” band
– 9.30 am: procession in via Matteotti and corso Mombello. Stop at the Monument to the Fallen of the First World War, the Monument to the Fallen of Kefalonia and the IMI plaque
– 10 am: official ceremony in front of the Monument to the Resistance, Gino Napolitano Gardens. Laying of the laurel wreath and Prayer for Peace. Greetings from the municipal administration. Oration of the prof. Gino Anfosso, teacher, writer, son of the partisan Dr. Leo Anfosso (Pavia). Readings on the theme of Resistance by the members of the ANPI section. G. Cristiano Pesavento
At the end, continuation towards the commemorative plaque of Commander Guglielmo Vittorio (Vitò) in the garden in front of the Fort of Santa Tecla and conclusion of the ceremony
