The civil protection of the Campania region has issued a yellow level weather alert due to the forecast of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
The alert is in force from midnight today until 11.59pm tomorrow across much of the Campania region, with the exception of some specific areas.
The forecasted storms could manifest themselves with lightning, hail and gusts of wind, increasing the risk of hydrogeological phenomena such as flooding, rising levels of watercourses and landslides.
Municipalities are recommended to activate the Municipal Operations Centers (COC) and to adopt the necessary measures to prevent and combat the harmful effects of bad weather, also monitoring the state of public green areas.
It is essential to pay particular attention to the situation and follow the advice of local authorities during the weather warning. Make sure that temporary structures are well fixed, avoid parking near trees and precarious structures and keep up to date with the latest information provided by civil protection.
