A promotion achieved on Saturday 13 April against Lulese, in the last championship match, and which we continue to talk about. Not only because it is a team from Olbia which, starting from Csicontinues to rise in category but also because it is the only Sardinian team from a parish to land in Fgci. «And now that we have reached this goal, we will have our say. In short, we won’t appear in the first category either.” Don Gianni Sini, parish priest of La Salette and spiritual assistant of the team, believes in a future full of others satisfactions. «With us – he adds – the players have fun. And this is an added value. So much so that there are many who, with experience in higher categories behind them, would like to join. However, some Albanians and Romanians have already joined us some time ago: our sports club, in fact, also focuses oninclusion. In the meantime, we continue to rejoice in an exhilarating journey that has taken us to the top. The numbers speak for themselves: 59 points won in second category group F out of 26 games played. 19 wins, two draws and five defeats.” More than a miracle.
The president smiles Tonino Tardio. He thinks back to the decisive match against Lulese with only one regret. «The grandstand of the pitch Geovillage where the match took place – he says – was declared unusable and therefore both we and the visiting fans, truly wonderful and correct, had to crowd around the fence.
