Power. Creative Church – HopeMedia Italy

Gabriela Bamonte – The child experiences reality through play, a means of also knowing biblical truths. The Adventist community of Potenza has embraced the “Creative Church” project, receiving training from Lina Cavalieri. On the morning of Saturday 17 February, the past. Stefania Tramutola commented on the episode of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes, told in the Gospel of John. She underlined how the generosity of a boy, who gives up his food supply, allows Jesus to feed more than five thousand people.

In the afternoon, the “Creative Church” program took place and we focused on the story of Moses, called by God through the burning bush to free the people of Israel who had been slaves in Egypt for about 400 years. The children and parents present had a visual and tangible experience of the biblical story through the construction of simple artefacts: a baby in a basket, pyramids, hieroglyphs, straw and mud bricks, the toil of the slave people, the dry passage of the Red Sea, footprints on the sand of the traveling people. Some songs and a prayer concluded the activity. This was followed by a tasting of delicacies featured in the episode.
