Socio-work inclusion, Catanzaro with @ia-ia-o among the first projects in the South chosen by the Ministry

The councilor for social policies of the Municipality of Catanzaro, Giusy Pino, announces that the socio-work inclusion project, called “@ia-ia-o”, has been selected by the Public Function Department of the Ministry of Public Administration.

The recognition places Catanzaro among the top three projects in Southern Italy and among the 15 at a national level chosen to receive support and funding.

“The @ia-ia-o project aims to implement a social agriculture model that favors the employment inclusion of particularly vulnerable people, such as young people with Down syndrome and autism, as well as care leavers – young people who have spent much of their their childhood in reception facilities. This project not only offers a concrete response to the risk of exclusion from the world of work for these people, but also promotes the development of skills and personal autonomy.

During the presentation in Rome yesterday, before the representatives of Formez and the Ministry of Public Administration – states councilor Pino – we had the opportunity to illustrate how the @ia-ia-o project aims to be a replicable and sustainable social and professional integration. Agriculture, with its therapeutic and inclusive nature, confirms itself as an exceptional tool to facilitate this process. It is a great step forward for our community and a testimony of our commitment towards the most vulnerable people. We firmly believe in the potential of every individual and in everyone’s right to actively contribute to society. @ia-ia-o is a promise for the future, an opportunity to show that inclusion is possible and fruitful for everyone. The Municipality of Catanzaro, together with its partners, is therefore enthusiastic about proceeding with the creation of @ia-ia-o, anticipating the significant positive impacts that the project will bring”.
