What have we freed ourselves from? And what should we still free ourselves from?
Is it a public holiday on the calendar? Is this another date to have barbecues and parties with friends?
❓So we ask ourselves: let’s celebrate what?
Our grandparents had to celebrate, those who lived through the war had to celebrate, those who rebuilt Italy with difficulty had to celebrate.
❗️The partisans have something to celebrate.
But we?
Reduction of press freedom, beatings of students, armed conflicts, climate change, censorship, precariousness, xenophobia, strengthening of borders, exploitation of workers, the reappearance of nationalism.
Is there something to celebrate?
❌ THERE’S NOTHING TO CELEBRATE.
This is our provocation, the invitation from @capitalsud.aps @legambienteandria @ilnocciolo @momomurga and @cgilbat not to lose the meaning of things.
We need to be together and remember: what happened, what we must do to give space to all the forms of resistance that every day throughout the world try to build liberation processes, so that we can feel entitled to celebrate the 25th April
“If memory endures, freedom lives.”
For these reasons we invite you to our Liberation Day, a celebration to celebrate the desire to be free, courageous and faithful to our principles.
PLAN
Ours is a party to get together and talk, remember, discuss, smile and get angry.
We imagined convivial moments that start from breakfast and lead to a social lunch where we can share dishes and thoughts, flavors and reflections together. (Obviously the wine for lunch is offered by us)
Immediately after breakfast in @officinasandomenico there will be a musical selection by @el_maximo_del_sur which will anticipate the performance of @momomurga. For the social lunch we will collect the dishes brought by everyone and set up a large table around which to discuss who and what is resistance today, what liberations we need and what must be done to obtain them.
After lunch and the debate curated by @cgilbat and @legambienteandria we will accompany the digestion with a musical show by “@ilnocciolo” – “I Deambulatò”.
We will then wait for the sunset with the musical selections of @la_papaya___ and @williams_wunsch_
