Casoria in the hands of baby gangs, violent nightlife and loud music send residents to exasperation

Nightlife and violence, aggregations and fights, music and baby gangs. For years now these have been the “couples” who walk in the street in Piazza San Paolo, one of the evening meeting points for the young people of Casoria.

The situation becomes increasingly exasperating for residents forced to hide at home and suffer chaos and noise.

“This is the situation we experience almost every evening in Piazza San Paolo Casoria” – says a citizen who revolted against the deputy of the Green-Left alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli –. “Despite continuous reports to the police, the same situation of vandalism and unprecedented crime is repeated every evening. We are now abandoned by the institutions and the situation has become unsustainable for the residents of what was once one of the most beautiful areas of Casoria”.

“We are well aware of the critical issues in this area and have long requested an intensification of the presence of patrols as had also been promised” – declares Borrelli together with the Europa Verde municipal councilor Salvatore Iavarone –. “We must guarantee serenity, security and peace to citizens and avoid clashes and accidents among young people. We ask that a security protocol be activated as soon as possible and that the square be kept under close observation.“
