Vaccinations, ASL Foggia opens all clinics for the entire week

FOGGIA – On the occasion of World Immunization Week which this year takes place from 24 to 30 April, the Public Health and Hygiene Service (SISP) of the ASL Foggia has organized a series of initiatives in the area to raise awareness among the community on the importance of vaccination and inform you about vaccination news. World Immunization Week is promoted by the World Health Organization (WHO) with the aim of increasing efforts to ensure the most complete immunization on a planetary level and promoting the message that the immunization of every person is of vital importance to prevent disease, protect health and life. Vaccinations, therefore, as the most effective tool to protect both individual and collective health.

Vaccination is, in fact, a precious prevention opportunity and vaccines are the tool with which millions of people around the world are protected from preventable diseases every year. Being protected from these diseases is a right of every single individual and of the entire community. From yesterday until 26 April 2024 on weekdays (excluding 25 April) users will be able to go to the vaccination clinics of the ASL Foggia where they will find qualified staff to receive all the information relating to the vaccines currently available by age group. It will also be possible to know your vaccination status and recover any vaccination cycles that may have been suspended, particularly during the pandemic period. Those who request it will therefore be able to access vaccination.

In all vaccination centers, the new prevention opportunities, both with vaccines and with monoclonal antibodies, of Respiratory Syncytial Virus infections, responsible for serious forms at the broncho-pulmonary level in both children and adults, will be illustrated. In view of the approaching summer season, the Travel Medicine Clinics, located in the municipalities of Foggia, Cerignola and San Severo, will provide detailed information on opportunities for preventing diseases that can be contracted while traveling abroad.
