Also the students of the Euroform Institute of Licata they met with the WWF, the Coast Guard and the Lions for delve deeper into the theme of the sea. The works opened with a video produced by the Lions district committee on the protection of the coasts and the sea – environment area, of which Giovanni Alga is responsible. She intervened too vice-president and local manager of the WWF, Sandra Bennicito highlight how in Licata every year there are hundreds of eggs laid by sea turtles, on which the WWF Italyin Sicily, is the owner of the only project that authorizes around fifty operators, scattered along all the coasts of the island, to act for the study of the life of these animals, from the laying of eggs to the care of the nests, up to the birth of the little ones safely.

The last speech was that of the president of the WWF Sicily Mediterranean Area, Giuseppe Mazzotta, who went into the details of the WWF Turtle Project, explaining to the students the importance of knowing how to recognize the presence of mother turtle on the coast that leaves unmistakable traces on the sand.

It is by calling the Coast Guard or WWF, thanks to the many citizens, volunteers by nature or by chance, that the nesting sites are identified and safeguarded from any accidents that may occur due to humans or animals.
