Volotea in Olbia: first flight to Brest, new base in France
Descriptive text here

The first flight to Brest takes off from Olbia. Operated exclusively by Volotea, the connection will have two weekly frequencies, on Mondays and Fridays, and a total offer of over 20,000 seats for sale. The low-cost airline of small and medium-sized European cities strengthens its commitment at a local level, supporting the flows of incoming tourists and supporting the local economy.
The distances between Olbia and France are further shortened: with the launch of the new route, the French destinations available from the Costa Smeralda increase to 10 and it becomes even easier for the many tourists from beyond the Alps to reach the splendid beaches of northern Sardinia.

Brest is the carrier’s new base in France, the 20th base in Europe and the 9th in the French market. From here, Volotea will offer 18 destinations, 3 of which are in the Bel Paese: in addition to Olbia there are Rome Fiumicino and Palermo. For this year, Volotea has forecast over 355,000 available seats in Brest (+188% compared to 2023), a record figure for the new French base. Furthermore, the carrier has stationed a new Airbus A320 in Brest, creating 30 new direct and 170 indirect jobs.

“With today’s inaugural flight to Brest, we have achieved another important result at the Sardinian airport – he commented Valeria Rebasti, International Market Director of Volotea -. Sardinia represents a primary market for us and we are thrilled to be able to bring an ever-increasing number of tourists to the island thanks to the many connections available. We are here to stay and we confirm our commitment at a local level for 2024 too, through a truly wide range of destinations, including the territorial continuity connection Olbia-Rome Fiumicino.”

For 2024, there are 28 routes operated by Volotea at Olbia airport, 14 towards Italy (Ancona, Bari, Bologna, Catania, Florence, Genoa, Milan Bergamo, Naples, Palermo, Pisa, Rome Fiumicino, Turin, Venice and Verona) and 14 abroad, 4 in Spain (Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid and Valencia) and 10 in France (Bordeaux, Brest – New 2024, Deauville, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Paris Orly, Strasbourg and Toulouse).
