Interviewed by Lucilla Granata on “La Provincia”, the president of Vanoli Cremona, Aldo Vanoli, commented on the salvation just achieved, after the home success against Brescia: “Oh yes. It was a great victory, no doubt about it. But you know, this is a great group. Throughout the season it has been a joy to enter the locker room after the games, even the ones we lost, believe me. Because in victory as in defeat, there wasn’t a match in which these guys didn’t give everything they had. But have you also seen Corey Davis, the latest arrival? He would have been interested in showing off in these matches, in showing himself to find a contract and instead he always played at the service of the team, with a touching altruism. And then he brought a breath of joy and positive energy when he needed it most. We knew that our goal this year would be salvation, but earning it like this on the field without having to do too many calculations and with two days to spare was a great satisfaction. For everyone. For the fans, for me, for the whole team. This is truly a great season. When I think about how much players like Piccoli and Eboua have grown. Or Denegri himself who has now established himself as a great Serie A player. I say it is thanks to the positive environment in which we make them work. A healthy environment that is made above all of values.”
Vanoli also reserved a comment for coach Cavina: “Because even against Brescia, he made incredible choices, he was very good. In every match I must say, he managed to perform some miracle. With Brescia however, even more so. Let’s remember how he prepared this very complex match. With the material he had available for other things. Seven, at most eight players available. And he administered them with absolute tactical intelligence. Supported by a united and collaborative staff certainly.
