Rimini, 23 April 2024 – At the time of the facts – we are talking about June 2021 – they were between 15 and 16 years old. According to the reconstruction of the investigators, they would have committed a horrendous action, forcing one of their peers to undergo sexual acts on the free beach of the port of Rimini, a stone’s throw from the Ferris wheel. They would have taken advantage of a 15-year-old girl who has since still been dealing with the psychological consequences of that nightmare she was forced to live.
TO following the investigations carried out by the flying squad and after the evidentiary incident during which the young victim had confirmed the very serious accusations, the five boys – defended among others by the lawyers Giovanni Collura, Matteo Zucconi and Gianluca Brugioni – now find themselves having to face the preliminary hearing before the preliminary hearing judge of the juvenile court of Bologna. Three of them, during the first hearing held last week, admitted their responsibility, saying they regretted their actions, and asked through their lawyers to be put to trial.
If the judge accepts their requests, the children will have to undergo a period of public utility work with a timetable to be agreed together with the social workers. If the test is successful, the trial will move towards its conclusion and they will be able to avoid conviction.
Present the victim’s parents were also in the courtroom, assisted by the lawyer Monica Cappellini. Most likely the other two boys will also request admission to probation at the next hearing, on 4 June.
