VICENZA – Success for Corriretrone: 3500 at the start

A splendid sun was the corollary to the 16th edition of the Corriretrone, which took place yesterday (Sunday 21 April) on the paths of the Retrone Park and the Berici Hills.

Almost 3500 participants (over 500 more than last year) took part in the event, proposed over five distances: 5 – 8 – 12 – 21 km. and the novelty of “La 32 dei Colli”; the great work of preparing the routes, refreshments and all the collateral activities was successful, in light of the opinions expressed at the end of the event and the comments read on social media.

The Asd DLF Corriretrone of the dynamic president Vincenzo Incardona can therefore archive with satisfaction the 16th edition of this non-competitive walk, which has rightly entered into the Sunday habits in April of many people from Vicenza and beyond.

“All this – says Incardona – was possible thanks to the fantastic work of the staff of the Asd DLF Corriretrone and the other volunteers who, in various capacities, contributed to the success of the event: my enormous thanks go to them. Without the availability and incessant preparation activity provided by my collaborators in recent months, the implementation of the march would not have been possible. And when we talk about the beauty of the route, my gratitude certainly goes to Count Nicolò Valmarana: he opened the doors to us of the park surrounding the Rotonda, a landscape area of inestimable value.”

“La 32 dei Colli” deserves a separate discussion; the almost 200 members particularly appreciated not only the naturalistic views, but also its technical characteristics.

“We wanted to include this distance – these are again Incardona’s words – to interest and stimulate the participation of runners who love “trails”, i.e. routes that wind along paths away from asphalt; in this respect, we think we have hit the mark.”

Appointment now in April 2025, to confirm and consolidate the goodness of Corriretrone.
