A commitment that translates into concrete projects and initiatives aimed at training aware and responsible citizens. The two-year period 2023/2025 is marked by special attention to young people, placing the construction of a better world through education and training at the center of the program.

The Italian Federation of Women, Arts, Professions, Business (Fidapa), Cosenza section, under the determined leadership of President Lucia Nicosia, is committed with enthusiasm towards the future of the new generations

The collaboration with the provincial school director, Dr Loredana Giannicola, has made it possible to develop experimental initiatives aimed at involving schools. Among the flagship projects stands out “We are active and aware citizens“, implemented at the Mendicino comprehensive institute. The classes involved are the third C and the third D of the C.da Rosario section. The students they were guided on a path aimed at increasing their awareness and responsibility towards the social, cultural and political life of the territory. In addition to this, the initiative promoted the importance of key values ​​such as respect for people, protection of the environment and respect for the law. The project was led by Professor Roberta Chiodo, a member of the Fidapa section of Cosenza and teacher at the Mendicino middle school, in collaboration with teachers Ida Altomare and Marinetta Zanfini. To achieve these objectives, the project included guided visits to the institutions present in the area, in particular two guided visits were carried out at the Prefecture of Cosenza and the Provincial Carabinieri Command.

Leadership and commitment there Fidapa president of Cosenza Lucia Nicosia made the realization of this initiative possible. In this regard, President Nicosia: «I thank the head teacher of the Mendicino institute Assunta Morrone for having accepted our proposal. Special thanks go to the kids who participated with enthusiasm. I thank the prefect Vittoria Ciaramella, the provincial commander of the Carabinieri of Cosenza, Colonel Agatino Saverio Spoto, and their invaluable collaborators, in particular Dr. Rosa Correale, the vice-prefect Giuseppe De Martino, commissioner of the Municipality of Mendicino, and Lieutenant Colonel Dario Pini. These projects, with the possibility of continuing in subsequent years, represent a precious investment in the human and cultural capital of the new generations, an investment which, we are certain, will bear positive fruits for our territory and for the entire country”.

The Fidapa of Cosenza thus stands as a bulwark of the ethical and civic education of the new generations, planting the seeds of a future in which mutual respect and social awareness are the pillars on which to build a better society.

This project represents a precious opportunity for children to grow, learn and develop skills that will be fundamental for their future and for the future of our society.”
