The Turin state police, as part of a detailed Digos investigation coordinated by the Prosecutor’s Office, and which led to the denunciation of 75 anarcho-antagonist militants, carried out in Turin, Rome, Milan, Livorno, Alessandria and Cuneo, also in collaboration with the local police stations, 18 precautionary measures of house arrest, the obligation and/or ban on residence and/or the obligation to report daily to the judicial police against anarchist militants for the crimes of devastation, violence and aggravated injuries to a public official.
The facts date back to 4 March 2023 (here is the film of the day) during the national anarchist demonstration in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito, detained under the 41 bis regime. A thousand activists started an unauthorized demonstration in an area of the city centre, and threw paper bombs and blunt objects at the police as well as smashing several windows of public establishments, banks, street furniture, monuments, cars, for a total calculated damage of over 630 thousand euros.
Two policemen were injured, one with a 100-day prognosis.
On the morning of March 4, on the occasion of the arrival in Turin of numerous demonstrators from various Italian cities and abroad, preventive checks were organized by the Digos, the mobile departments, the polaria, the road, border and railway police, and 37 anarchists, found in possession of suspicious or prohibited material (helmets, gas masks, hammers, crowbars, slings, sticks, paper bombs, firecrackers, rods, shields, knives, hatchets and material for misrepresenting themselves) in a demonstration. Among these demonstrators, 28 were then reported for illegal possession of objects capable of offending and resisting a public official.
