The mayor of Agrigento and the councilor for public works visit the area where a closed bridge creates inconvenience for the local community.

This morning, the mayor of Agrigento Francesco Miccichè and the councilor for public works Gerlando Principato went for an inspection in the Misita district, where a citizen protest is underway for the closure of a bridge. The closed structure would isolate the areas of Zingarello, Cipolluzze and Mandrascava.

In recent days, a sit-in protest was held to ask the Free Consortium to establish a one-way alternating route. The bridge, just under five hundred meters long, was closed by the Free Municipal Consortium of Agrigento to vehicular traffic due to maintenance work on the expansion joints.

This situation is causing considerable inconvenience to the inhabitants of the affected areas. Mayor Miccichè urged the company responsible for the works to speed up operations and underlined the ability of the Principality councilor in resolving problems related to bridges.
