CATANIA – Six new emergency automatic defibrillators were donated to the Court of Appeal of Catania by the Etna provincial health authority. They will be located in the juvenile justice office in via Franchetti, in the premises of the work section in via Guardia della Carvana, in the headquarters of the supervisory court in via Castorina, in the office of the civil justice of the peace in via Imbriani and in that of the judge of penal peace and notification and protest office in via D’Annunzio.

“I want to thank the current and previous management of the ASP of Catania – said the president of the Court of Appeal Filippo Pennisi – for this donation which allows us to equip some offices with life-saving devices in which there is a large presence of operators and users. Experience teaches that they are important and often decisive tools for reducing the damage resulting from a cardiac arrest, to the point of avoiding the death of the affected person.”

On the occasion of the delivery of the defibrillators, a five-year loan for use was signed between the parties with which the common commitment to health prevention and safety in the workplace is relaunched. “The commitment for the ASP of Catania – said the extraordinary commissioner of the Etna health authority Giuseppe Laganga Senzio – will continue with the creation of training courses for the operators of the Judicial Offices in order to guarantee correct use of defibrillators in case of necessity together with the application of life-saving maneuvers”.
