A project that comes from the bottom, independent and experimental, environmentalist, promoter of forms of inclusive and cohesive community, animal rights activist and strongly localist which calls on all citizens of Crotone to contribute to its growth.
Moving was born several months ago, from the desire of a group of people to take the field to build something new. Have environmental protection of the Crotone territory, as one of the essential points of the political project MOVING, starts from a careful reflection on the now distant complaints of neglect made by private individuals and associations. Just think of thearea of the former general markets. Today, attention is focused on reclamation, but the resolution of “Minor” risk environmental situations cannot and must not be neglected. With this methodical choice of look at each issue in an integrated and long-term perspectivethe formal constitution of the group occurs concurrently with the dangerous reopening of negotiations on reclamation. The possibility that the radioactive waste that has poisoned the area for all these years remains in Crotone despite the obligation imposed by the national and local institutions on ENI to transfer and dispose of that waste elsewhere, is yet another abuse, an arrogance that would require great collective mobilization.
The way in which the “reclamation” will be carried out will have important repercussions on the issue of healthcare and, specifically, on the right to health and access to specialist care which is becoming increasingly difficult, if not impossible in some cases. Healthcare emigration is a great wound in our territory which absolutely needs to be discussed and healed. Healthcare, tout court, in our territory is not democratic, on the contrary, it reinforces inequalities and makes them chronic. Inequalities for which political action as such must implement targeted and conscious interventions.
Social justice is a core value for the group MOVING because today more than yesterday it is necessary to strengthen that social cohesion that generates precious human capital for a real path of regenerative development.
Animal protectionto which it is now peacefully recognized full moral dignityis an essential element for the political vision aimed at by this new territorial project.
A project that it does not fit into preconceived political coloursbecause it does not recognize itself in anyone, neither in the way it approaches real problems nor in the way it engages and participates in citizens, who are increasingly passively on the margins of the city’s party dynamics.
Moving it therefore fits into this context with the determination of whoever wants it get your head out of the sand and promote debates on vital issues for the future of Crotone as well as laboratories of ideas and social innovation in the name of transparency, active participation, integrity, responsibility, study and, above all, coherence.
