The alarm and the fog cannons do not stop the slot thieves who fled with the loot

The thieves – regardless of the anti-intrusion system – concentrated on some video poker machines, breaking into the boxes containing the money from the games. The damage has not yet been quantified. THE SHOT
The slot room is open until four in the morning. It is located along the former provincial road 35, in a complex where there are other commercial activities which are closed at that time of night. The thieves forced the front door around 4.30 am, triggering not only the sound alarm, but also the fog canisters, the system which, once the intrusion is detected, produces dense, very thick smoke, which prevents orientation in the room. In this case it did not have a deterrent effect. The thieves probably knew the layout of the machines very well and managed to find their way. It is not excluded that they were equipped to neutralize the smoke. However, it was a quick action, because only a few slots were hacked.

THE INVESTIGATIONS
The theft was discovered several hours later. 112 was alerted on Friday just before midday, when the restaurant reopened. The employees discovered signs of forced entry on the front door and became alarmed. Once they entered the room they realized that some machines had also been damaged. The Carabinieri of the Sacile Radiomobile and colleagues from the Prata station intervened on site. who collected the first elements to start the investigations. Investigations are also underway through the viewing of video surveillance systems scattered across Via Puia and which may have captured the thieves’ car.
