From the program announced by the municipal administration it is clear that the demonstration for 25 April in Gallarate will end in the small square in front of the Cemetery, dedicated to the Martyrs of the Foibe and the Istrian-Dalmatian exiles, where the speeches of the Official Speaker Giuseppe Armonica will be given and that of the Mayor Andrea Cassani. Not The program includes the reading of resistance songs by students, as has always happened, in a consolidated tradition spanning over ten years. And not even the equally traditional procession that crossed the city in homage to the fest feeling that the day of April 25th inspires and expresses is not planned.
The Gallarate section of the ANPI will participate in the Official Celebrations, however independently promoting the same identical procession, at the end of the speeches, which will start from the Cemetery at approximately 10.45 am, winding through the route that has been widely tested and frequented over the years.
All citizens, institutions, parties, unions, associations, schools of all levels are therefore invited to participate in the liberation celebration, the secular celebration of the birth of our republic, founded on the values of freedom, peace , of democracy, and on the constitution which is pervaded in its entirety by these principles.
