The Greentech Global Forum at Gazometro

AGI – Smart city. Electric mobility. Circular economy. The cities of the future are closer if seen from the Greentech Global Forum, the annual event dedicated to technological innovation promoted by the Lazio Region with the organization of Lazio Innova, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, SIMEST (Italian support company to internationalisation), SACE (Italian Export Credit Agency), Agenzia Ita (Italian Trade Agency) and with the support of Intesa Sanpaolo.

This year the initiative will be held from 16 to 17 September at the Gazometro Ostiense Complex in Rome, during the Rome Future Week, with an agenda full of meetings between institutional tables, promotional workshops and networking sessions, to offer international actors the opportunity to present and share solutions and projects to be explored in depth and then discussed in reserved sessions. The Forum will see the participation of international representatives of development agencies, industrial clusters, companies, investment funds, economic diplomats and Italian managers, and will focus on cutting-edge technologies for the energy transition and applications for smart cities, green energy, electronic mobility , advanced services for citizens and the circular economy.

The objective is to develop joint projects between large international players and selected local companies and to foster innovation and technology transfer between SMEs and large companies globally. The two-day event was presented this morning at a press conference at the Region’s headquarters in the presence of Francesco Rocca, president of the Lazio Region, Roberta Angelilli, vice-president of the Lazio Region and councilor for Economic Development, Commerce, Crafts and Industry , Internationalization, Marco Rago, legal advisor to the Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Development (MAECI); Francesco Marcolini, president of Lazio Innova: Angelo Camilli, president of Unindustria, Francesca Alicata, SIMEST external relations manager.

“Today’s meeting represents a moment of sharing knowledge and experiences, but above all an opportunity to create synergies and strategic partnerships” said Angelo Camilli. “As Lazio Innova we are committed to the realization of this event for which we will carry out follow-up actions with the aim of strengthening relationships and consolidating the collaborations started during the forum, through a digital matching platform. And then again with initiatives of networking and sharing of projects. Furthermore, through the management of the ERDF tenders of the Lazio Region, we will encourage joint participation in international tenders by regional and foreign companies”, highlighted Francesco Marcolini.
