In recent days there has been a lot of talk about a municipal resolution for the assignment of the task of drafting the Beach Plan for a cost of over 140,000.00 euros, which hit the headlines following a formal complaint made by some professionals who believe that they were the holders of the same assignment received at the time and still in progress, for the completion of which they had requested approximately 20,000 euros in compensation.
The competent authorities will deal with the profiles of malpractice and waste of public money amounting to over 100,000.00 euros, as well as the administrative disorder in which the practice finds itself.
On a political level, however, it is interesting to note the sensational self-declaration of the Municipal Administration of its failure on the issue.
In fact, in the programmatic lines of mandate of the Mayor approved by the City Council in November 2019, the Beach Plan is defined verbatim as a development tool and immediate objective to be pursued in order to obtain the complete valorization and integration of coastal resources.
Therefore, inexorably and without any possibility of misunderstanding, the decision of the office for its editorial office dated 4 April certifies that after five years we are still at a standstill and nothing has been done.
While tourist and beach operators are left alone and in total chaos, without any certainty for their business. We ask ourselves: where are the Mayor’s tourism policies?
