According to the report of Unioncamere And Anpal (National Agency for Active Work Policies), in the next 5 years Italy will need, overall, between 3.1 and 3.6 million workers, depending on the more or less favorable macro-economic scenario in terms of growth of GDP, equal to an average of 630-730 thousand units per year. The data highlights that employees in the private sector will contribute to determining the majority of the need (more than 3 out of 5 employed). Public employees will have a weight of 22%, while the share of independents will stand at 17%.

Looking at the sectorsalmost 80% of the employment demand will come from all sectors of the servicesincluding the Public administrationwith an estimated need of between 2.5 and 2.8 million units between 2024 and 2028, while the demand for industrial sectors will vary between 656 thousand and 789 thousand units, for a share equal to 21%.
