Tomorrow, Sunday 21 April, starting at 5pm, as part of the Blue Month of Autism, the program is the traditional show of music and words for autism. This year’s special guest is a great artist like Paola Turci, a monument of Italian author music and an artist who has always been committed to the issues of social justice, with a performance between music and words. The show focuses on the themes of Freedom and will also feature performances by Ettore Caterino, doctor/neuropsychiatrist and musician together with the students of the Piero della Francesca high school. ‘Long live Freedomthis is the title of the Teatro Sociale performance inspired by art. 21 of the Italian Constitution which derives from the Theater and Dance course carried out at the Liceo Piero della Francesca in Arezzo. The project involves students from ten classes. “This year at the Theater laboratory,” says the director Amina Kovacevich, we have decided to discuss an important topic, fundamental to our lives: Freedom!’. The laboratory is part of the Inclusion projects proposed by the School. The actors of ‘Viva la Libertà’ are thirty students with and without certification and Support Teachers.” The theatrical production is curated by Amina Kovacevich, Silvia Martini, Ilaria Violin for NO MAD APS, dance movements by Francesca Barbagli for Semillita Atelièr, on keyboards by Prof. Stefano Graverini at Cahon Lam Salvicchi. “I believe that this year,” says the president of Autism Arezzo Andrea Laurenzi, we have created a great awareness and information project. For us it was essential to activate this path of closer collaboration with the other associations (Crescere, ToscanAbile and Reconoscersi) because we are deeply convinced that this is the only path that can truly bring concrete and lasting results for our children. We invite everyone to the theater Petrarca to celebrate with us the freedom and rights of disabled people.”
