TRIESTE The Burjana collective announces in a press release that next Thursday, 25 April, the anti-fascist procession for Liberation will be held from 9am on Campo San Giacomo.
The note refers to the “communication from the Police Headquarters, which, unlike last year, authorized the demonstration, but decided on a different route and time from those requested by the organizers”.

Here is the press release: “If a year ago the Police Headquarters prohibited the anti-fascist procession in its entirety, this year it instead delights us with the old trick of fake availability: change of time – a departure is prescribed no earlier than 12, instead of 9 as communicated – and route. If we were willing to integrate the change in the route, the application of both measures is inadmissible, as it seeks to relegate the procession to a time in which it loses its meaning and impact, making it invisible to those participating in the official celebrations , silencing and hiding from the eyes of citizens and the press present the interventions and criticisms that the procession will pose. This attempt to harness expressions of dissent in cages of timetables and streets – the note concludes – designed to hide and diminish the contents the requests that the movements bring, is not new and is not limited to April 25th: it is an approach that has now become standard practice.
